As a Security Officer - Commercial Building - Full Time in Nashville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as a driving patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff through strong customer service and communication. In this dynamic role, you will bring reliability, integrity, and teamwork to each shift while helping create a welcoming environment.

Requirements

  • Security experience of at least 6 months is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including hallways, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing visitor activity, verifying permitted access, and reporting unusual behavior.
  • Support a professional healthcare environment by assisting with de-escalation, directing foot traffic, and communicating clearly with staff, patients, and emergency personnel as needed.
