As a Security Officer Experienced Patrol Specialist in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas, verify credentials when required, and document daily activities, incidents, and/or policy violations in assigned reports.
  • Support order at the location by providing directions, assisting with visitor management, and communicating professionally with employees, agency representatives, and/or members of the public.
