Security Officer Hospital Deescalation Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for a healthcare location in Boca Raton, Florida. The officer will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, contractors, and the facility by maintaining a visible presence, patrolling assigned areas, monitoring visitor activity, and providing professional customer service. The role may involve supporting hospital protocols during patient restraint situations. The position pays $17.91 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, Friday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, Saturday 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, and Sunday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM. Applicants must be willing to receive required hospital vaccinations and be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
- Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to assistance requests, disturbances, medical emergencies, and facility-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site-specific procedures, and report unauthorized access or suspicious behavior to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and concerns to supervisors and site contacts.
- Support hospital protocols, including assisting staff during patient restraint situations.
