As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit activity, support badge and access procedures, and provide welcoming customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity, communicate professionally, and help maintain an orderly environment. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate access logs and documentation.
  • Control access for delivery vehicles, contractors, and personnel entering the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
