Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access to the residential community by verifying authorization, documenting visitor and vendor entries, and directing guests according to established procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, access-related issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of community entrances, common areas, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate daily activity reports, visitor logs, incident documentation, and other required records in accordance with site policies.
