About The Position
The Breckenridge Resort Security (BRS) Officer regularly patrols all resort properties in order to mitigate Security, Fire, and Safety situations. Your primary responsibility is to ensure a safe environment while collaborating professionally and proactively with other departments. Your role is crucial in delivering an Experience of a Lifetime for both guests and employees. The successful candidate will possess excellent judgment, problem-solving, and communication skills and will thrive working individually or as part of a diverse team. BRS officers work closely with our local law enforcement partners.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record - required.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure - required.
- Proficiency in MS 365 - required.
- Ability to work on your feet for up to 10 hours in a high-altitude mountain environment in inclement weather - required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs - required.
- Strong communication skills with a variety of staff and guests - required.
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace - required.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays - required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in dealing with emergencies - preferred.
- Professional writing experience - preferred.
- Security experience preferred - necessary training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a daily log of all activities throughout the shift.
- Maintains key and access control of Vail Properties & mountain road access gates.
- Assists guest with vehicle lockouts and jump starts.
- Provides security assistance at all local Vail Resorts hospitality locations.
