We rely heavily on our Advanced Security Associates for the proper handling of classified materials and site visit arrangements. In this position, you’ll issue company identification badges, maintain database accuracy and process and maintain personnel security clearances for employees and consultants in an industrial security office. Responsibilities include interviewing employees and consultants to verify accuracy of data and assisting in the completion of government personnel security questionnaires and related documents. A Security Associate assists in safeguarding an organization's systems and data by supporting the implementation of security protocols, monitoring for potential threats, and responding to security incidents, working under the guidance of senior security professionals to help maintain the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • A High School diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of 4 years relevant experience; General Dynamics experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills including current computer operating system platforms
  • Solid understanding of policies and procedures in classification management for handling classified information including the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)
  • Ability to actively participate within the security team and display positive behaviors

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date security records in accordance with management direction
  • Ensure all security-related documentation is properly completed, filed, and distributed in a timely manner
  • Scan and digitize security-related documents to minimize paper records and support a more efficient, streamlined records management process
  • Input and maintain accurate information into the Security Information Management System (SIMS) to ensure proper tracking, accountability of records, and support for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Process incoming and outgoing classified documents in compliance with applicable regulations
  • Review required company and government security records, identifying and reporting discrepancies to supervision
  • Process and maintain personnel security access control for employees and consultants through human review, validation, and DISS authorization verification
  • Ensure all personnel access is properly credentialed, documented, and controlled in strict accordance with applicable security requirements
  • Maintain database integrity and accuracy through routine review and updates
  • Respond to routine employee security inquiries, escalating complex issues to the appropriate security supervision
  • Schedule and coordinate security awareness briefings and educational training sessions
  • Support audits and controls over classified data by establishing tracking methodologies and keeping management informed of any identified deficiencies
  • Program and manage the opening of Open Storage areas accredited by the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), ensuring all procedures, access controls, and documentation meet accreditation standards
  • Conduct audits of DD254s to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable security requirements and ensure data integrity in SIMS
  • Conduct corrective actions for inaccurate or outdated DD254 data, coordinating with program contract managers
  • Demonstrate familiarity with the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and large language models (LLMs) as applied to security administration and records management workflows
  • Support relocation of assets in accordance with applicable security requirements, ensuring proper documentation, handling procedures, and chain of custody are maintained throughout the process
