As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government airport location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will use computer or tablet tools to document security-related activities while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport facilities, public areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary throughout the location.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access, hazards, and security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
  • Assist with access control, visitor direction, and compliance with posted rules and site-specific requirements while maintaining a professional presence.
