About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for alarm response at a healthcare location in Elkton, Maryland. The officer will help safeguard clients and create a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, delivering customer service, and responding professionally to security concerns. The role is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM and pays $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established protocols and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including facility interiors and exteriors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeters as applicable.
Monitor access points, observe visitor and employee activity, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Document incidents, complete required reports, and communicate clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
