As a Security Officer DoD Clearance Required Patrol in HERNDON, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Requirements

  • An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report suspicious conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify badges, credentials, and/or visitor access as directed by site policies, and report access control concerns or policy violations.
  • Support site operations by observing for fire, life, and other security-related hazards, following post orders, and assisting with evacuations, escorts, and/or other response activities when needed.
