About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to patrol a hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. The position provides consistent scheduled hours at an assigned site, with the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. The assigned weekly shifts require a six-month commitment. Additional shifts may provide opportunities to work up to 40 hours per week, with the ability to scale back. The pay rate is $16.24 per hour.

Requirements

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or clients while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, directions, and access-control procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and actions taken, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.
