About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to patrol a hospital in Bartlett, Tennessee. The role provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform. Hours may vary as additional shifts are claimed, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The listed pay rate is $17.91 per hour.

The position involves providing customer service and carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a hospital setting. The work environment may include a morgue, and the officer may need to restrain individuals.

Requirements

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital environment that may include a morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation, subject to applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following healthcare location protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site-specific requirements, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Accurately and promptly document incidents, observations, and patrol activities according to company and client procedures.
