About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for medical facility access control in Brooklyn, New York. The role is described as an unarmed patrol position in an educational setting. The officer monitors and patrols assigned areas, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and supports a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. The position requires customer service, clear communication, timely reporting, integrity, and teamwork. The schedule is Monday and Thursday from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour. The role includes access to a shift-claiming platform, paid training, and career growth opportunities.

Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, as a condition of employment and in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen, as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following campus protocols and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location; report unauthorized access, maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Accurately document incidents, observations, and completed patrols.
Communicate relevant information to supervisors, campus personnel, and emergency responders as needed.
