Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, control site access, and support daily operations with strong communication and customer service. Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, badge verification practices, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points for the location, verify credentials and/or delivery information, and help to deter unauthorized access to offices, docks, yards, and other restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related activities and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access by checking identification, maintaining visitor and/or driver logs, and directing authorized individuals to the appropriate area of the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, loading and unloading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by client site.
