As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and sensitive areas, assist with visitor direction and screening procedures, and report maintenance, environmental, and/or security-related issues observed during rounds.
  • Support healthcare operations by helping to manage traffic flow, assist during high-volume periods, and provide a visible presence that helps to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior.
