As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide welcoming customer service to visitors and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and support a positive environment through teamwork and integrity. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing Spanish.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a retail and mall location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
