As a Security Officer Government Hospital in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and emergency response support as appropriate for a government healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, maintenance issues, and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas while verifying credentials, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and assisting with public interactions in accordance with location policies.
  • Support staff and visitors during medical emergencies, evacuations, and other urgent events by following post orders, communicating clearly with appropriate personnel, and helping to maintain orderly operations.
