About The Position

As a Security Officer Hospital Security in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Must be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, assist with visitor direction and screening processes, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support a professional environment by following post orders, maintaining awareness of patient privacy considerations, and assisting with de-escalation during tense or emotional situations.
