Requirements

  • Vaccinations are required for this hospital location.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the hospital location, including entrances, hallways, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter points as assigned.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations by monitoring assigned areas and addressing concerns through established protocols.
  • Support access control and visitor management activities by observing entry points, verifying authorized movement in restricted areas, and communicating security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
