About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Visibility in Watsonville, California, you will serve and safeguard clients in retail and mall settings. You will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate clearly, and provide customer service. This is a part-time position with a schedule of Monday and Tuesday, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The pay rate is $22.66 per hour.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, tenants, visitors, and shoppers by following security procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the property perimeter.
Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting hazards, suspicious behavior, property damage, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activities and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.
