As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Alarm Response in Christiansburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. You will interact professionally with employees and visitors, use computer or tablet systems to document observations, and contribute to a caring, reliable team culture built on integrity and exceptional service.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, office spaces, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and assist with visitor and contractor entry processes.
Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate relevant security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
