As a Security Officer Full Time Credentialing Services in Edwardsville, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will manage visitor and employee entry, verify credentials, support badge access processes, and monitor access points to help maintain a secure environment. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors, and support security-related operations with integrity. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying identification, credentials, appointments, and/or delivery documentation in accordance with site procedures.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, driver, vehicle, and/or access records; issue and recover credentials, keys, or access devices as authorized.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
