About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for property protection at an assigned site in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The position provides a designated weekly anchor shift that requires a six-month commitment. The officer may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The listed pay rate is $15.00 per hour. The scheduled shift is Friday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if assigned to a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to incidents, including medical emergencies, disturbances, access concerns, and alarm activations.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, directions, and compliance with site-specific access procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities according to company and site requirements.
