About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed patrol Security Officer for a technology location in Milpitas, California. The officer will help safeguard the site and provide a welcoming environment for employees and visitors by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, communicating clearly, responding to security-related concerns, and documenting activities using technology. The role is scheduled Monday through Wednesday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, at $25.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
A guard card or license.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while following site-specific security procedures and carrying out emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
Monitor site access by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and following entry and exit procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
Complete activity logs, incident reports, and other security documentation accurately and promptly.
