As a Security Officer in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. You will monitor entry and exit activity, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document site access activity in accordance with post orders and security-related procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to the appropriate personnel when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and controlled access areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Communicate with employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors regarding site rules, restricted areas, and required check-in and/or screening processes.
