As a Security Officer Full Time Alarm Panel Patrol Driver in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating observations through established communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, while maintaining a professional and welcoming presence.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and unusual observations accurately and promptly in required reports and/or electronic reporting systems.
