As a Security Officer Screening Compliance in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will use X-ray screening equipment and access control tools to help identify prohibited items and support a secure environment. You will remain visible, communicate professionally, assist with loss prevention efforts, and use computers or tablets to document security-related activity. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen personnel, visitors, and/or authorized items entering designated areas in accordance with established procedures and access requirements.
  • Operate screening equipment and conduct visual inspections as directed, reporting irregularities, prohibited items, and/or access concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation and communication protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, facility entrances, loading areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and support security-related operations.
