Requirements

  • Have at least two years of security-related experience.
  • Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures, healthcare location policies, and emergency response protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, critical situations, and requests for assistance in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the location perimeter to help identify and report suspicious activity and/or hazards.
  • Monitor access points and help maintain orderly movement throughout the healthcare location while respecting patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and promptly communicate concerns to appropriate healthcare personnel and/or emergency responders.
