As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Healthcare Patrol in Westwood, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • At least two years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field is required.
  • Must be vaccinate flu and covid vaccine.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, hospital policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established notification procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report unusual conditions, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete required reports and maintain accurate activity logs while communicating professionally with hospital staff, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership.
