As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Associate in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while coordinating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail and entertainment areas, including entrances, common spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance or hazard concerns, and report observations through proper channels to help support daily operations.
• Assist with access control, crowd flow, and/or de-escalation during busy periods, special events, and closing procedures at the location.
