About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Armed Security Officer for a commercial real estate location in New Orleans, Louisiana. The officer will help safeguard clients, tenants, visitors, and staff through armed patrols, a visible security presence, incident response, access monitoring, and customer service. The position has a stated pay rate of $16.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, 10:00 AM–7:00 PM; Thursday, 10:15 AM–7:15 PM; and Friday, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM. Requirements

Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, suspicious activity, and critical situations in accordance with site protocols and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of building interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter areas.
Monitor property access, verify credentials as required, and report access-control concerns, maintenance issues, and unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation in accordance with company and site-specific procedures.
