About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Ruther Glen, Virginia. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. The role requires providing customer service, communicating clearly, documenting observations, and representing Allied Universal’s culture. The posted schedule is Tuesday through Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Pay is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by state or local law; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and use problem-solving skills to address incidents, access concerns, delivery-related issues, and critical situations.
Conduct regular and random patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and support verification of authorized personnel, visitors, drivers, and deliveries according to site procedures.
Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities, and report security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
