About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed roving patrol Security Officer in Jeffersonville, Indiana, serving a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The officer helps safeguard the client location by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access-control procedures, and communicating professionally with employees and visitors. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
- Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations before employment.
- Hold a valid driver's license only if working in a driving position.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific security procedures and carrying out emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, access points, and other assigned locations to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and reporting access-control concerns according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
- Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift communications accurately and in accordance with company and site-specific procedures.
