About The Position

As a Security Officer - Full Time Access Control in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing visitor and employee access, verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with site personnel, and remain visible to help deter incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial construction location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized personnel, visitors, deliveries, and contractors, and maintain accurate access-related records.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entry points, perimeter areas, construction zones, and material storage locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding access-control concerns, incidents, and site conditions.
