As a Security Officer Access Control Data Entry in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess a college degree.
• Demonstrate a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology data center location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, manage visitor and contractor entry processes, and maintain accurate access-control documentation.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including access points and perimeter locations, to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Support a professional, customer-focused environment by providing clear directions, communicating policy requirements, and reporting unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
