Requirements

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A Guard Card/License is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and public officials by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government facility.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned areas, building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, maintaining a professional presence while assisting with visitor direction and access-related questions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following applicable site procedures and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
