As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Hospital Patrol in Englewood, CO, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital setting that includes a morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals when required in a hospital setting.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and help to support orderly operations during routine and high-activity periods.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and sensitive areas, assist with visitor directions and general information, and document incidents, observations, and/or requested assistance according to site procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with location personnel and emergency responders when needed, while following post instructions and maintaining a visible presence throughout assigned areas.
