As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Clinical Security in Thornton, CO, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
  • Must be willing to work in a hospital environment that may include the morgue.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be willing and able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and reporting details to site leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas, noting unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry, loitering, and/or disruptive behavior while maintaining a professional presence in a healthcare setting.
  • Document observations, incidents, and/or policy-related concerns, and communicate with supervisors, staff, and first responders when needed.
