About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced in New Orleans, Louisiana, for an armed patrol and de-escalation assignment at a healthcare facility. The position offers a designated weekly anchor shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, with the opportunity to build up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The listed schedule is Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and the pay rate is $15.50 per hour.

The officer provides security and customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors; responds professionally to incidents and emergencies; conducts armed patrols; monitors access to restricted areas; and documents activity. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Candidates must participate in industry-specific security training. Licensing requirements depend on applicable state and local regulations.

Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following security procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations, coordinating with facility personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for people entering restricted areas according to site-specific procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and documentation about incidents, observations, patrols, and unusual activity.
