Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable, agile approach while helping staff, patients, and visitors throughout your assigned area.

Requirements

  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations and activities according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, directions, and general support while following healthcare location rules and privacy-minded practices.
  • Support staff during escalated situations by communicating with supervisors, emergency services, and/or designated personnel as needed and documenting relevant details.
