Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing or equivalent is required.
  • LPN License in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required
  • BLS and ACLS certification is required.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience within. medical office, urgent care center, or skilled nursing facility, experience is preferred.
  • Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Under general supervision of Urgent Care Provider, perform direct patient care including, phlebotomy, EKG, IV access, IV fluid and medication administration in accordance with physicians' orders.
  • Provides work to full scope of practice as determined by the public health department and Southcoast Health policies.
  • Conduct patient interviews and provide clerical support including but not limited to patient quick registration, data/order entry, minor transcription of orders, coordination of medical records, transport and other clerical duties as assigned.
  • Performs point of care lab testing in accordance with CLIA certificate.
