About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Armed Patrol Response Driver in Taylorsville, North Carolina, to support a government correctional location. The role involves armed vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, responding to security-related concerns, and providing professional customer service and communication. The position pays $21.50 per hour and is scheduled Wednesday through Friday, 5:45 AM to 6:00 PM.

Requirements

A valid driver's license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and members of the public while following site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, and other designated areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor and control access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and report unauthorized entry attempts or policy violations.
Respond professionally and calmly to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations; request assistance or notify appropriate personnel as directed.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain documentation related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security activities.
