As a Security Officer Screening Examiner in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will use screening equipment, including X-ray technology, to help identify prohibited items and support a secure environment. You will monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, communicate professionally, and provide exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and authorized personnel entering designated areas using approved screening equipment and procedures; verify access credentials and direct individuals as appropriate.
  • Monitor access points, delivery areas, and screening lanes for unauthorized items, suspicious activity, or policy violations; report observations according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate site representatives and/or emergency responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business perimeter, access points, and distribution operations, while maintaining accurate activity and incident documentation.
