About The Position

We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Security Officer to join our team at a premier high-rise building in Houston. The Security Officer will be responsible for protecting tenants, visitors, and property by maintaining a constant and visible presence throughout the entire site making attentiveness, endurance, and professionalism essential.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Must be at least 18 years of age with valid identification.
Ability to pass a background check and meet all state licensing or certification requirements.
Reliable transportation to and from the site.
Ability to walk patrol routes, climb stairs, and respond quickly to emergencies.
Must maintain alertness and focus throughout the shift.

Nice To Haves

Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred, but not required.
Strong observation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Responsibilities

Maintain security and order within the building by monitoring entrances, lobbies, stairwells, elevators, and other assigned areas.
Conduct frequent foot patrols of both interior and exterior areas to detect unauthorized activity, hazards, or safety concerns.
Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, alarms, or emergency situations following established procedures.
Provide courteous assistance to tenants, guests, and contractors while upholding professional standards of customer service.
Enforce building policies, access requirements, and safety regulations consistently and fairly.
Prepare detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.
Communicate regularly with supervisors, building management, and law enforcement when necessary.
