About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer for a high-technology data center location in Sterling, Virginia. This driving position involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, and providing customer service and communication. The role requires a valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located. The scheduled shifts are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The pay rate is $26.06 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements depend on state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology data center.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity according to site requirements.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, grounds, perimeter, and critical infrastructure areas to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, access-related events, and shift handoffs.
