About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a financial institution in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide customer service to employees and visitors. The role includes using technology to document activities and report concerns, and communicating professionally with site personnel and visitors. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.13 per hour. Applicants must have at least six months of relevant security experience, which should be included on the resume and discussed during the interview.

Requirements

At least six months of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unusual or unauthorized activity.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, ATM locations, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate clearly with site personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
