About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a logistics and distribution facility in Lakeland, Florida. The role supports site safety by managing access points, verifying credentials, monitoring facility activity, conducting patrols, and providing professional customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees. The posted schedule is Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, at $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or at least 21 years old for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Verify credentials, monitor visitor and vendor entry, and maintain accurate access-related records.
Monitor entry and exit points, gates, and loading areas to deter unauthorized access and support orderly movement of personnel, vehicles, and deliveries.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following site-specific escalation and reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, and loading zones; document observations and report security-related concerns.
Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees.
