As a Security Officer Mobile Patrol in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic tech location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity while contributing to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative culture.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials where required, and report policy violations, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious activity in accordance with site protocols.
• Support a professional presence in a fast-paced technology location by assisting with directions, visitor interactions, and security-related communications while adapting to changing conditions on site.
