As a Security Officer Patrol Protection in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and reporting concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, badges, and/or visitor permissions in accordance with site protocols while supporting orderly entry and exit procedures.
• Support facility operations by observing site conditions, reporting maintenance or security-related concerns, and following post orders that may vary based on the location and assigned area.
