The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively safeguarding the premises, including, at times, patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Requirements

• Must be actively licensed in NM as a Level 1 unarmed Security Guard to be considered.
• Must have SECURITY CARD IN HAND (not certificate) to be considered.
• Must be able to stand and walk foot patrol for entire shift.
• Must have at least 1 year of security experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
• Ability to obtain security certification according to the State of NM.
• Ability to pass drug screen.
• Ability to pass background check.
• E-Verification Approval.
• Completion of on-boarding process.
• Approval and interview with assigned site manager.
• Completion of on-the-job training and all other site-specific training.

Nice To Haves

• 21+ years of age for armed roles
• 5 years of verifiable experience (experience required only for Armed Roles)

Responsibilities

• Help maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations.
• Preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Vigilance: Seeing, hearing, and evaluating. A Premier Protective Security employee is always attentive and often notices things that others don't. Their vigilance is necessary to be aware of potential risks or incidents that may take place on our customers' premises.
